Comcast Cares Day Volunteer Work - April 24, 2010 
Well over 400 volunteers, primarily Comcast employees and their families, but also community members from DRCC, Tacony Civic and Tacony CDC, Planet Abacus Charter School, Major Artery Revitalization Committee (MARC), Community Life Improvement Program (CLIP), and Parks & Recreation Department worked diligently on a number of projects at both Pennypack on the Delaware and Disston Park. Volunteer Work on Martin Luther King Day - 2010
Almost 50 volunteers came out to help resurface the small walking path next to the river in the extension portion of Pennypack on the Delaware. The following link will allow you to view photos of progress. The documentation was done by Fred Moore, President of the Holmesburg Civic Association.

Grand Opening - Nature Trail at Pennypack on the Delaware - Nov. 22, 2008
The grand opening was a huge success, despite wintry blasts of cold air. We were very pleased that Mayor Michael Nutter, U. S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz and PA Dept. of Conservation & Natural Resources Secretary Michael DiBerardinis were able to join Fairmount Park Director Mark Focht and our DRCC Chair, former Congressman Bob Borski, in making brief remarks before we opened the gates to have everyone join us in walking the new trail. Baxter Walk - April 21
